You can hold 50 high schoolers' attention for six hours straight — not by talking at them, but by making them feel like they're part of something. You're 100% someone who genuinely believes in and wants to support young people.
We're Skillify. We run career conferences and mentorship programs that help students figure out what they want to do with their lives. We've reached thousands of students across 220+ schools — and we're just getting started.
Our conferences are the heartbeat of what we do. They're high-energy, high-impact days where students meet mentors, explore careers, and walk out with more confidence than they came in with. You'll be the person who helps make that happen.
What you'll actually do
Conference days (2–4x per week)
- Facilitate full-day career workshops (5+ hours) at high schools across California and Nevada
- Emcee and manage the flow — intros, transitions, keeping energy high, handling the unexpected
- Connect with students 1:1 and in groups — you're approachable, memorable, someone they trust
- Coordinate with school staff and mentors to make sure the day runs seamlessly and everyone feels the impact
- Drive or fly to school sites, sometimes 5+ hours each way, including overnight travel 2–3x/month
Between conferences
- Improve and iterate on workshop content and conference experience based on what's landing
- Prep materials, coordinate logistics, debrief with the team
- Support other Skillify initiatives as needed — we're a startup, roles flex
You're right for this if…

Requirements
- Available to lead in-person career workshops 2–4 days per week, often full-day (5+ hours leading on-site)
- Strong public speaking skills — you've done this before and you're good at it
- Valid driver's license, reliable car, and willingness to drive 2–3+ hours to school sites
- Open to overnight travel when conferences are far from Las Vegas
- Work with us in-person at our Summerlin / Las Vegas office when not at school sites
- Mastery of Google Drive for staying organized
- Bonus: experience in teaching, youth programs, event facilitation, theater, coaching, or anything that put you in front of groups of young people
Compensation & benefits
- $60,000 – $100,000 per year
